The hat sizers help to stabilize and are unobtrusive enough. But I find ordering hats that are not your size a risky gamble. Aesthetically speaking.

Just wearing the hat on a normal sunny day. These aren't necessary for me, but when the wind is out, they provide that little bit of snugness needed. They are cheap enough, just buy and have them on hand.
