Sanctus | Vintage Silver-Tone Stainless Steel St. Benedict Cross Wheat Chain Necklace
How to find your necklace size
Necklace lengths
The perfect necklace length is subjective. The sketch is of a 6'2", medium-build model with a 14 1/2” (37 cm) neck. For most men, a 19 3/4” (50 cm) necklace is standard. But men aren’t ‘standard’.
It is up to you how low you want a necklace to fall, and that depends on the thickness of your neck, shape of your shoulders, and your height.
Find my necklace size
- Put a long piece of string behind your neck.
- Bring the ends together in front of your chest.
- Mark the string where you want the pendant to fall.
This will be where the top of the pendant falls. A chain will fall higher as it won’t be weighed down by a pendant. Now measure the distance between the marks to find your length.
You can also find your necklace size using a measuring tape in front of a mirror.
Measure your necklace
If you already have a necklace you like, lay it in a straight line and measure its full length, including clasp and ring to determine your size.

Description
On this order of Christ pendant’s front, St. Benedict holds a cross in his right hand and his rule for monasteries in his left. To his right is a poisoned cup, a reference to the legend that hostile monks attempted to poison him. To his left, the raven that carried off a loaf of poisoned bread. These stories are thought to be the origin of the belief that the medal can protect against poison.
The back of the cross features the letters C S S M L – N D S M D, initials signifying “may the holy cross be my light – may the dragon never be my overlord.” The encircled C S P B means “The Cross of Holy Father Benedict.” Surrounding these are the letters V R S N S M V - S M Q L I V B, which means “Begone Satan. Never tempt me with your vanities. What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself!” Topping this off is the word ‘PAX’ which means “peace.”
This vintage steel pendant necklace for men is made of surgical-grade stainless steel and so is the double curb chain on which it hangs. The double chain means that even if a link breaks, the necklace will not fall. It’ll be caught by the next link in the chain. Its durable lobster clasp and adjustable length give you power over where the pendant falls.
Designed in Denmark. Comes in a signature box.

Customer Reviews
Beautiful cross pendant, detailed and of high quality. The chain, on the other hand, is uneven and keeps getting caught in several places. Too bad I replaced the chain.
Very nice
The product is very weak - the execution of the chain rings were uneven as if someone had specially bent them
Yes, I liked it and quality goods!
