Measuring your head
You will need a tape measure and a mirror. Optional: Skip the mirror and use a friend. Place the tape measure around your head where the hat’s inner band will sit. Let the ends meet on your forehead. Make sure the tape measure is not too tight. Read the circumference from the tape measure.
Remember different hats sit differently on your head. You may even prefer to tilt your hat in a certain way. Measure so that your tape measure sits where the hat’s inner band will sit. Hats usually sit most comfortably about 1 cm above the ears.
If your head circumference is in the lower end of a size interval, a pair of hat sizers will ensure a snug fit.
Tips
- If you have no tape measure, you can use a piece of string and a ruler.
- If you have a hat that fits you well, you can measure the inner band of the hat, where the dome and the cylinder meet.

First I loved the cut of the flat cap; however, the execution of the product left much to be desired. Like no liner inside of the hat, so even if I wanted to use the spacers to make the hat fit I couldn’t, nowhere to put them. Second the size. They don’t make the caps in normal sizes they have 22-1/2 inch? And 24 inch; nothing in between. So I ordered the 24” and it was 24 1/4-1/2. I fit 3 fingers in the back. My head's actual measurement is 23 1/4 so I was not happy.

Beautiful, authentic, well-made hat. My fiancé loves it. I measured his head and my 1st order was a little snug. Customer service was A+. They helped me get the product returned and kindly sent a replacement a size up. I would recommend this product and look forward to future business.

I bought this hat for my husband and using the measurements that were given we got a very close fit. Not perfect, of course since it wasn’t a custom hat but very close and he loves it. Looks exactly as it was pictured and being a hat maker myself, it was beautifully made.
This doesn’t fit very well and for a yank, it is not very impressive.
