Beautiful, but impractical closing design

Great bag, made of beautiful leather and a lovely brown color. Many nice compartments and also a pocket at the back. Unfortunately, the construction of how to close the bag/lid is COMPLETELY useless and really an extremely poor design to be functional. I thought it was a complete lid to open and close, but the two straps on the front have to be unbuckled from the two buckles to open the lid. And the two long straps aren't even sewn to the bag, so they hang around like spaghetti. And if you need to quickly access the bag, you have to spend 3 minutes threading the spaghetti back into the buckles to close the bag. I really wish they would do something about the design here, because the bag is lovely, but the design for using it is clearly not well thought out.
