The gold tone on the Kash is accomplished using physical vapor deposition. PVD is a process where titanium nitride is super heated to a plasma that’s shot at the ring’s surface inside a vacuum chamber. Sounds awesome, right? This creates an ultra-thin ceramic layer that’s attached to the surface on the molecular level. Much tougher than traditional plating and better for the environment.
