A belt does far more than just hold your trousers up. Here are a few suggestions to follow when choosing a new belt.
When matching accessories with a tasteful men's suit, one should always keep the ongoing color scheme in mind. So if the tie pin and cufflinks are gold in color, it's imperative that your belt buckle is also gold-colored.

When wearing polished black leather shoes, your belt should also be a high-gloss black. Likewise, brown matte shoes are better matched with a matte brown leather belt. And if you have fabric shoes on, then a sharp-looking fabric belt should do the trick nicely.
Leather belt types
All leather products can be divided into two distinct categories of quality.
is the lesser of the two grades of leather and is often used in the making of rather delicate products. Split leather is an animal hide that's been split into thinner layers, separating the outside leather where the hair grew from the inside layers. Because the layers have been torn apart, split leather is not as smooth as the outer, skin side. To correct this, a piece of real or synthesized leather is glued on the surface.
Full grain leather
is the opposite of split leather. In other words, the outer part of the hide. Belts made from full grain leather are of superior quality and can last a lifetime if maintained well. The Danish brand Bosswik
is renowned for its full grain leather belts. Most of Trendhim's belts are made of full grain leather.
Men's leather belts — maintenance regimens
The only maintenance a full grain leather belt requires is the application of good quality leather grease a couple times a year. This will make the leather softer and reduce cracking while improving its resistance to water and stains.
Finding the right belt size
Unless otherwise stated on the product description page, we usually specifically mention the belt's waist size: that is, the distance from the tip of the belt buckle to the last locking position hole as shown below.
Of course, you could always measure one of your own belts to determine the right size for ordering. For the elastic belts, we give you an approximate length because they have some give to them, naturally. One thing that gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to ordering is that you can also alter the size of your belt on your own by simply cutting off a section as shown below. All you need is a knife sharp enough to cut through leather and a strong multi-hole punch.
