Beard care
The difference between a gorgeous facial mane and an unkempt mess is care. Just like on your head, the hair on your face requires attention if you want it to be an accessory and not a parasite.
Whether you're sporting a moustache or a full beard, mutton chops or an Abe Lincoln, regularly trimming, combing, and oiling your beard ensures it stays smooth and gorgeous. Hair is, after all... hair.
Avoid the Itch
Natural oils are the best solution to take care of your facial hair as well as the skin underneath. All of our beard oils and balms are made from 100% natural ingredients that help reduce all forms of skin irritation. Any man who hasn't shaved for a few days knows how quickly their beard can become annoyingly itchy. Our oils and balms not only address this issue but help your beard grow thicker – which is what most beard enthusiasts crave in the first place.
How to trim a beard
There are hundreds of beard styles to try, but for trimming and upkeep, our advice is always the same: start with the longest hair length setting on your trimmer and bring it down gradually. This will ensure the best beard-shaping results. We recommend shaving against the natural grain to remove the thickness first. This way, you’ll have a clearer picture of where you need to work.
If your preferred beard style is to have a full beard to the beard line, you must first identify where your beard line is. A good way of determining this is to place two fingers (or 1.5 - 2”) above your Adam's apple and use this as a guide. Remember, this will vary from person to person and beard to beard!
Go against the direction of hair growth at first, to remove excess bulk. Repeat using shorter trim settings until you're happy with the length. Then utilize the contents of your beard grooming kit – whether it’s the beard oil, wax, or balm – to ensure a polished and professional finish.
